The revival of hit American comedy-drama television series “Gilmore Girls” may have been a little too late for some, but for actress Lauren Graham, there’s more to the revival than meets the eye. As Netflix gave it a go, there is also reason to be excited about the series even if it almost is a decade when it was last seen on the small screen.

The new series, called “Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life,” is “incredibly satisfying,” according to Graham, who plays Lorelei Gilmore. Talking to ABC News, she added that there was a combination of the feeling of nostalgia and the question of whether or not there was good reason enough to proceed on a remake. “I think they were some of the most wonderful episodes we’ve ever had and it feels brand new but still the same show,” she said.

It certainly looks like Graham is not shy in declaring her love for the show that ran from October 2000 to May 2007. She admitted to E! News that playing the role of one of the Gilmore Girls was her most favorite thing she has done. “I was very thankful every day and really could kind of connect to, I’m so lucky,” she said.

The Netflix series is reportedly going to be comprised of four parts, focusing on the lives of Lorelei and Rory (Alexis Bledel), her daughter. Unlike the first seasons, this one’s going to be more like a short film, according to Graham, since there will be no annoyance from commercials.

Confirmed earlier this year, “Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life” will be made up of episodes which are 90 minutes long. It will be released later this year, with every episode of the series is slated to be set in Stars Hollow.
