'Forza Motorsport 6' Porsche DLC now available, 'Apex' release date for Windows 10 PC announced

“Forza Motorsport 6’s” Porsche DLC is now available to all Xbox One gamers. Meanwhile, Turn 10 Studios has announced the launch date of the new Windows PC title “Forza Motorsport 6: Apex.”

“Forza Motorsport 6” Porsche DLC

Turn 10 Studios Community Manager Brian Ekberg announced the availability of the new “Forza Motorsport 6” Porsche DLC at the Xbox Newswire on Tuesday, March 1. The latest expansion pack brings 20 Porsche cars, new multiplayer events, and a brand-new race track – the Virginia International Raceway.

The new race track features seven new ribbons and also has night and wet configurations. The race track is based on the Virginia International Raceway located between Virginia and North Carolina. It’s considered to be a very challenging track that’s 3.27 miles long and includes 17 turns.

The pack also includes a new Campaign called the Porsche Anthology. This latest campaign brings 60 years of Porsche history and features the voices of famous Porsche drivers Hurley Haywood, Patrick Long, and Derek Bell, among others. It also provides access to 21 legendary vehicles, nine of which are new to the Xbox One.

The “Forza Motorsport 6” Porsche DLC is now available at the Xbox One Store for $19.99.

“Forza Motorsport 6: Apex”

In a separate post, Ekberg announced Turn 10 Studios’ latest addition to the franchise, “Forza Motorsport 6: Apex.” The new game is a Windows 10-exclusive title that will be available to gamers for free come spring 2016.

“Arriving on the Windows Store this spring and available for free, Forza Motorsport 6: Apex is a powerful demonstration of what the ForzaTech engine can do when unleashed by DirectX 12 at resolutions up to 4K,” said Ekberg in a post at the Xbox Newswire. “Developed by Turn 10 Studios, Forza Motorsport 6: Apex is the first step in Microsoft’s commitment to creating amazing Forza experiences for Windows 10 PC gamers.”

The new game will feature 20 race tracks spread out across six locations. These include Yas Marina, Top Gear, Sebring International Raceway, Rio de Janeiro, Brands Hatch, and Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps. These tracks are available in night and wet-weather variants.

Last but not least, the rides will feature classics, modern, and “bleeding edge” race cars. These include the 1973 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am SD-455, the 2017 Ford GT, and the 2014 Audi #2 Audi Team Joest R18 e-tron quattro.
