The second update for the “Five Nights at Freddy’s” series role playing game (RPG) “FNaF World” just hit, introducing a myriad of new changes as well as new characters for players to interact with.
Gamejolt announced the release of the update, providing a download link for players who wished to get it immediately. The post also featured a description of the update, indicating how players might access the update’s new features.
According to the description, players need to have already beaten the game once, either on Normal or Hard mode, to access the new content. Players must then enter the grey house in the first area, holding the Up button at the door, then leave and talk to Fredbear. A portal will then appear through which players may enter to access the content.
Scott Cawthon, developer of the game and creator of the “Five Nights at Freddy’s” series, posted similar directions in a discussion on the Steam forums.
According to Cawthon, he “thought a lot about” how to allow players to access into Update 2. Cawthon eventually decided that finishing the game was enough of a requirement, so players “simply beating the game” is all that is needed.
Cawthon also added a clarification on the requirement, saying, “Yes, saved games that have already beaten the game still count.”
As Cawthon has been secretive about the update’s specifics, Design & Trend provided further information as to what the update might bring. Reportedly, “FNaF World” Update 2 will bring new characters into the game’s roster of playable characters.
There are at least eight new playable characters, including Halloween animatronics and an avatar of Cawthon himself. The infamous Purple Man character is also slated to now be playable in the game.
Aside from a larger playable roster, Update 2 also presents the continuation of “FNaF World’s” storyline. Prior to Update 2, the game’s last update added in a mysterious new character which told players to “come back later” when spoken to.
With “FNaF World” Update 2, players speculate that the mysterious character will allow a deeper look into the lore of the “Five Nights at Freddy’s” series.
