Things are looking peachy for “Flip or Flop” hosts Tarek and Christina El Moussa, at least on a professional level.
According to a report by Life & Style, Christina has finally signed with HGTV to host the TV show for a seventh season with ex-husband, Tarek. The reasons behind the 33-year-old blonde’s decision to work with her husband again are money, family, and love. This is according to a source close to Christina.
“Christina realized she and Tarek are stronger overall as a unit, but Tarek still better be on his best behavior, on and off set,” the source added.
Another insider revealed that it took a little bit of persuasion before Christina finally decided to continue with the show. “She was hesitant about signing on to film more episodes with Tarek because of what he put her through in the past,” shared the insider. “Once the money was presented, though, Christina changed her mind. It was a good offer,” the source added.
Moreover, Christina also said in a statement to E! News that she and Tarek had been working together for several years. She also mentioned that they look forward to continuing their partnership on “Flip or Flop.”
Tarek, for his part, shared his excitement for a seventh season which received an extension from HGTV. It is now 20 episodes long. “I know many of our fans have been wondering about this and it’s finally happening. Regardless of the situation, our job is to flip homes and create a TV show for people to enjoy around the world,” posted the 35-year-old Tarek on his Instagram late last month.
Furthermore, the two ex-lovers also joined forces at the Daytime Emmy Awards 2017, a day after announcing their show’s seventh season. The two were spotted arm-in-arm as they walked the red carpet. Tarek sported a black tux while Christina flaunted a black cocktail frock.
“Flip or Flop” season 7 will debut in December 2017 on HGTV.
