The marriage of “Flip or Flop” stars Tarek and Christina El Moussa came to a bitter end a year ago. Though Tarek has already filed for a divorce, the case may be dismissed by the court after all.

In a report by the Orange County Register, a court notice said that the case filed is still sitting empty. The divorce is reportedly stalled because Christina has yet to give a response. Additionally, key documents haven’t been submitted yet.

“Substantial time has passed since this case was filed and it appears it is not moving forward,” read the case review notification. “Be advised, failure to serve or complete your case within a certain period of time may lead to dismissal,” the notice from the Orange County Superior Court continued.

What the case has to show for are only the procedural paperwork and a statement confirming that Christina was served the notice seven months back.

The ex-lovers had started to move forward with their lives and have renewed their on-cam chemistry. The two are currently filming for the show’s seventh season and are seemingly getting along smoothly, at least on TV.

Earlier this month, it was confirmed that Christina was dating Doug Spedding, a former flame from a decade ago. The two were already seen kissing, and going out on date nights, as well as a romantic boat ride.

On the flip side, Tarek was also going with the flow. He is currently enjoying his new house, which is frequently turned into a playground by his two kids. Moreover, he also shared with E! News that he had changed the name of his boat from “Flip or Flop” to “Bad Decisions.” “Apparently I’ve made a couple,” Tarek said, “and Christina laughed about it,” he added.

The two were also seen sharing some light moments in the “Flip or Flop” set. They were photographed goofing around, with Tarek making funny poses and Christina laughing in turn.
