The divorce case filed by her ex-lover Tarek already rolling. With this, Christina El Moussa addressed her critics and shared a piece of her mind regarding the whole ordeal.

Speaking to Good Housekeeping, the blonde co-host of HGTV’s “Flip or Flop” said she was more concerned about their children. She stressed that her main priority are her daughter Taylor, 6, and son Brayden, 2.

“One day, as I was driving her (Taylor) to an appointment, she said, ‘I don’t need to go to therapy anymore. I think you and Daddy are happier apart, and I don’t really need to talk about it anymore,’ shared Christina. “She’s very open and honest with her feelings, but still I was like, ‘Wow, that’s a big comment for a 6-year-old,’” she added.

Furthermore, she also addressed her critics who say that she has not been a good mother to her children. She specifically raised a comment from one of her social media followers questioning her C-section delivery.

“That was an emergency C-section, and I pushed for eight hours…I think most people see me as a glamorous type of person, and at the end of the day, I’m more just a low-key mom,” Christina explained.

She also shared the adjustments she and Tarek are going through, especially now that she is already in a relationship with Doug Spelding, an old flame. Christina said that Tarek was a bit jealous of Doug, considering that the latter has a successful career. She also noted that her new boyfriend was “very honest,” and that he would just say what’s on his mind.

Tarek filed for a divorce last January but was stalled up until this month. It was just recently when Christina finally filed her response, which was necessary to start the ball rolling.

E! News confirmed through court documents that Christina is asking for joint legal and physical custody of their kids. In addition, she is also asking for spousal support along with compensation for her attorney’s fees.
