They say exes can no longer work together, but Christina and Tarek El Moussa prove otherwise.

A recent report from People confirmed that the estranged couple has signed a new contract for “Flip or Flop,” their HGTV series. The new deal extends the current season (7) to 20 episodes.

“Tarek and I have been working together for a long time and we look forward to continuing to work together on Flip or Flop,” 33-year-old Christina shared.

“From the beginning, HGTV has shown Christina and me tremendous support and we are excited to go out there and flip many more houses for Flip or Flop,” Tarek, 35, added.

Christina and Tarek announced their separation in December 2016 after seven years of marriage. In January, Tarek’s lawyer confirmed that his client has filed for divorce. They are the parents of Taylor, 6, and Brayden, 1.

In early March, Tarek appeared on an episode of “The Doctors” talkshow. There, Tarek admitted that the lack of communication, their fame, and health issues tore their relationship apart.

“I feel like if we had better communication, we would have had a better relationship. It was like overnight, businesses, TV, all these things happened overnight, then the cancer, and the back surgery,” said the male real estate investor.

Nevertheless, he was still open for reconciliation.

Christina seconded his claim in her separate interview with People.

The female TV host confessed that their marital issues started during “Flip or Flop’s” first season in 2013.

The then-couple just started adjusting to their public lives when Tarek found out about his thyroid cancer. He underwent radiation treatment while Christina struggled to get pregnant.

Just one month after the birth of Brayden, Christina needed to get back to work. She felt overwhelmed, which also led to a relationship tension.

“We weren’t able to properly communicate anymore,” she recalled.
