Role playing game “Five Nights at Freddy’s” has quite a few updates these past weeks. The creator of the videogame, Scott Cawthon, uploaded some images featuring the latest installment in the series called “Five Nights at Freddy’s World.”
The said images were published under Cawthon’s Indie DB page for the video game. A few new nemeses were featured including Ballboy. Fans of the franchise would be familiar with Ballboy as he was already in one official update just before the Halloween update for “Five Nights at Freddy’s 4.”
This time, Ballboy would have a new kind of power called the “Esc Key.” Although there is no information yet about what the “Esc Key” can do, fans are getting excited just by the thought of him having a power of his own. Following Ballboy are wooden Chop Roll inspired enemies that are somehow similar to a previous creation by Cawthon called “Chipper and Sons Lumber Co.,” Lastly, a crab-like creature, already seen in the trailer released in October, was featured.
Furthermore, the images also give fans an idea on the overall dynamics of the game including a lineup of characters that players can choose from. Additional characters may be unlocked as the game progresses. Reports claim that there will be a total of 40 characters. Three images seemingly lifted from the mini-games in “Five Nights at Freddy’s” are also parts of the photos release.
There are also numerous speculations that a movie inspired by the role playing game is in the works. Normally, successful movies are turned into a video game as part of its franchise’s promotional campaign. This time, however, it is said that the series is going to be adopted by Hollywood through the guidance of seasoned horror movie director Gil Kenan.
The “Monster House” director has been posting on his official Twitter page what could be little bit of sneak peeks of the movie. A report by Hollywood Reporter in August claimed that Seth Grahame-Smith, who is allegedly going to be co-producing the movie, said that he is looking forward to working with Cawthon in the movie.
