'Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location' news: Creator Scott Cawthon confirms voice acting

The Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza restaurant is about to get even noisier in “Five Nights at Freddy’s: Sister Location” as “Five Nights at Freddy’s” series creator Scoth Cawthon announced that there will be voice acting for the upcoming installment.

Cawthon confirmed the news on a Steam forum discussion thread on the “Five Nights at Freddy’s 4” section, started by the original poster to discuss the possibilities in “Five Nights at Freddy’s: Sister Location.”

According to the original poster, with the handle XEffect-Dragon, they began speculating on the possibility of voiceovers for the animatronics of the series after learning that the Baby animatronic now has an official voice.

It did not take long for Cawthon to reply to the thread, revealing that there will indeed be voice acting for the next installment in the series. According to Cawthon, “Yes, there will be voice acting in Sister Location!”

The “Five Nights at Freddy’s” series is composed of horror video games set in dilapidated, pizza restaurants. Almost all installments of the series, except the role playing game “FNaF World,” place players in the shoes of a newly hired night shift security guide.

Complicating matters is that the animal animatronics of the restaurants activate at night and believe that the player is a “naked” animatronic due to faulty programming. Upon encountering the player, the mascots will then attempt to stuff the player into a costume husk filled with the sharp and metallic “skeleton” of an animatronic.

Players must survive throughout the night five times, with a sixth night for special modes, to clear the game. The series has always featured a degree of voice acting throughout each installment, but the amount has always been minimal and confined to phone calls or voice recordings.

With Cawthon’s confirmation, however, some speculate that “Five Nights at Freddy’s: Sister Location” will feature voices for the animatronics. Some even suggest that the voiceover talent featured in “FNaF World” might even return for the next game.

A Reddit user recently posted a leak of “Five Nights at Freddy’s: Sister Location,” listing down possible names for the animatronics featured in the game. Some of the names are female which, when combined with the game’s title, suggest that some of the voice actresses in “FNaF World” might be returning.

Currently in development, “Five Nights at Freddy’s: Sister Location” has no release date as of yet.
