The much awaited game “Final Fantasy XV” will finally get its release date sometime in March. But long before that, game director Hajime Tabata teased the status of the game’s progress, revealing that the game is nearly ready for release and that a beta is coming soon.

In his interview with Famitsu magazinewith translation courtesy of Siliconeradirector Tabata revealed that the game’s specifications are done and that a beta version will be coming soon ahead of the reveal of the release date which is sometime around this year.

“This year is the year we’ll release ‘Final Fantasy XV.’ Currently, we’ve decided on all of its specifications and the beta version is under production so we can shift into the debug phase,” Tabata said. “We’ll show the real ‘XV’ during the release date announcement this March.”

The closest event related to “Final Fantasy XV” that will be coming this month is the newest “Active Time Report.” As announced via the official Japanese Twitter account for the game, the event promised new gameplay footage reveal, a closer look at the game’s Niflheim Empire, and many more.

In his New Year message, he said, “I vow to you all that every member in the team will do their best to the very last possible moment taking responsibility and pride in their craft. We will do everything we can do to finish ‘FFXV’ to create an experience we are incredibly proud of and one that you will enjoy and treasure.”
