The most recent episode of “Fear The Walking Dead” titled “Captive” showed an interesting development in Daniel’s (Ruben Blades) character.
When Daniel was watching over Reed, played by Jesse McCartner, he started hearing voices. This was the first time a character heard voices in “Fear The Walking Dead.” However, its companion series, “The Walking Dead,” already showed some characters experiencing the same thing.
The executive producer of the series, Dave Erickson, spoke to Entertainment Weekly about what was going on with Daniel. He said, “What we’re starting to see with Daniel is a lot of his ghosts are coming back, and the things that he was able to bury for so long because he had Griselda, they’re starting to sort of creep around the edges. They’re starting to fragment his psyche a little bit. And again, it’s part of the larger mystery of Daniel Salazar, which we’ll continue to explore the next few episodes. But yeah, he’s getting to a bad place. He’s getting to a place where his past is catching up to him.”
Meanwhile, new teasers for the upcoming episode of “Fear The Walking Dead” were recently released. Titled “Sicut Cervus,” the sixth episode of “The Walking Dead” companion series is expected to bring the characters back on land.
According to Comic Book, Abigail will finally arrive in Mexico, which will allow the story to shed more light on Strand’s (Colman Domingo) storyline. The previous episodes of the series showed that he was to meet his lover, Thomas Abigail, back in Mexico.
Unfortunately, the synopsis of the episode revealed that the landing in Mexico will bring some challenges for the group. However, not much detail was revealed about what is going to happen. There are speculations that Madison and the group will have a hard time getting through the border, since Strand was the only one who planned to go to Mexico.
“Fear The Walking Dead” season 2 airs on AMC every Sunday night at 9 P.M. EDT.
