Spoilers and tidbits continue to come as fans look forward to season 2 of “Fear the Walking Dead.”
It has already been revealed around two months ago that the upcoming season of the show will focus on water scenes as it narrates the story of where the outbreak of zombies originated.
Additionally, Robert Kirkman, one of the show creators, said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly last month that the sophomore show will answer the questions of fans as to why the survivors did not opt for the water as a sanctuary when the undead started to attack.
Aside from the two pieces of information shared earlier, the sophomore show will also feature the back story of Victor Strand (Colman Domingo). The actor is said to have been casted as a regular for season 2.
As fans can remember, in the season 1 finale of the show, Strand offered his yacht named Abigail as a sanctuary to the survivors, telling them that he knows how to overcome the zombies. This implies that he may play a critical role in the upcoming season. It is unclear at the moment, but the production of “Fear the Walking Dead” season 2 is already underway, with scenes being shot in Mexico.
Meanwhile, Travis Manawa, one of the survivors in season 1 played by Cliff Curtis, shared more about Strand’s character in an interview with Access Hollywood. He said, “[That’s] the funniest character on the show, right now… It feels like he’s from a different world and I think entertainment-wise, I think that’s fantastic, and I’m really, really looking forward to seeing how he develops.”
At the moment, no definite date has been pinned down for “Fear the Walking Dead” season 2. The show may come around summer of 2016.
