AMC just released a brand new video clip for “Fear the Walking Dead 2.” The 30-second teaser is a culmination of all the past trailers for the hit spin off series of “The Walking Dead.” It gives fans a clearer and better picture of what they can expect when the show comes back.
Based on the clip, it looks like “Fear the Walking Dead” will be incorporating narration in their story telling, something that was not present in its debut installment. Main lead, Madison Clark (Kim Dickens) is seen at the opening shot of the short video apparently already accepting the fact that the world that she and her family live has now changed. “To kill the monster, you become the monster. Stare into the abyss, the abyss stares back. It is alive. It is hungry. And it devours,” she says.
Fans are also treated to a glimpse of what may be the threat this coming season. It turns out that Clark and the remaining survivors will be facing not just deadlier but apparently more dangerous enemies.
Cinema Blend reports that what is terrifying about the teaser was that walkers appear to be healthy appearing more like the people they were before they became zombies. Given the setting of the story, which is before the outbreak, the walkers have not decomposed completely making it difficult to distinguish the ones who are infected from the ones who are not.
Elsewhere in the clip, Chris (Lorenzo James Henrie) is seen saying goodbye to Liza (Elizabeth Rodriguez). This may come a bit of a surprise to loyal “Fear The Walking Dead” fans as it can be remembered that in season 1, Travis (Cliff Curtis) was forced to shoot his ex-wife to prevent her from turning into a walker.
“Fear the Walking Dead” season 2 is set to debut sometime this April on AMC.
