Things are taking shape in the upcoming “Fast and Furious 8” movie as a majority of the cast members have confirmed their re-inclusion in the latest installment of the franchise. With the confirmed roster of stars joining the “Fast and Furious” sequel, the next question that gets the fans curious is about the type of supercars that will be featured in the movie.
Despite the absence of confirmation from the production or any cast member, speculations that “Fast and Furious 8” will highlight Lamborghini Murcilagos, Subaru Imprezas, and a Rally Fighter continue to grow louder. This rumor was sparked by the photo uploaded by Jalopnik on its website, wherein the photos showed the said models of supercars being transported to the location setting of the said film. Apart from the said supercars, the photos also showed the supposed military green armored trucks, snorkels, a golf cart, and many other things for “Fast and Furious 8.”
While it is true that the supposed supercars to be featured in the latest installment of “Fast and Furious 8” are sure to excite the fans of the movie, especially those who have the need for speed, everything is unconfirmed at this point in time.
The confirmed piece of news at this point, though, is that the upcoming “Fast and Furious 8” movie will kick off a trilogy that will lead to the closing of the franchise on its final sequel, “Fast and Furious 10.” On his Facebook account, Diesel reportedly said:
“Universal has been so good to me and so trusting of the vision… they have been like family… I promised the studio I would deliver one last Trilogy to end the saga.”
“Fast and Furious 7” concluded Brian O’Conner’s (Paul Walker) story arc and introduced Kurt Russell’s Mr. Nobody. With this, fans can only speculate that the upcoming trilogy will feature Dominic Torretto’s (Diesel) team having new adventures in every installment of the trilogy, whatever supercar they may be driving.
“Fast and Furious 8” hits the theaters on April 14, 2017.
