There were news that Eminem’s new album is being sidetracked because of a conflict with “Hotline Bling” singer Drake, but recent reports suggest that the rapper is simply uninspired.
According to Australia News Network, the rap god is having trouble finding inspiration for a new album. To amend this, Eminem is reportedly moving to England where he can hopefully come up with an album that will top his previous ones.
Nevertheless, it is unknown where this information came from and whether it is true, so readers are advised to take this with a grain of salt.
It has been about three years since the release of his last album titled “Marshall Mathers LP 2,” so fans are understandably getting disgruntled. Several other rumors have cropped up as a result, including one that indicated the rapper having financial problems.
Marshall Mathers III is noticeably missing from this year’s Forbes list of top 100 earners, where his name consistently appeared, FX News Call reported. Last year’s list featured him as the 85th top earner. His name being dropped fueled the rumors that the rapper is in a financial slump, which may be an indicative that releasing a new album is the least of his worries right now.
Whatever the reason, it is highly unlikely to be the so-called feud with Drake. In the rapper’s Summer Sixteen Tour in Detroit on Aug. 16, he introduced a surprise guest star as “the greatest rapper” Eminem, as per The Hollywood Reporter.
Afterward, the “Slim Shady” rapper thanked Drake and stated that he was honored to grace the stage with him, The Christian Times reported.
This rumor broke out when Joe Budden, a member of Eminem’s Slaughterhouse, expressed his negative opinion on Drake’s “Views” back in April.
As of now, there is no clear indication that Eminem’s new album is currently in the works.
