'Elder Scrolls 6' release date rumors: New working title for upcoming 'Elder Scrolls' game

Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) is just around the corner and some gamers are expecting new announcements for the sixth title of the “Elder Scrolls” franchise. However, there may be disheartening news for the fans since the developer, Bethesda might release the game in 2019.

When the vice president of the public relations and marketing of Bethesda, Pete Hines was interviewed by the Telegraph before, he already left out clues with regards to the sixth installment of the game. While he was being interviewed, Hines mentioned “Skyrim 2” which may be a possibility the next sequel will be still continued in the universe of “Skyrim.” The lore of the possible working title may actually be based on Morrowind or Oblivion.

As stated in reports, fans have observed that there is a pattern that a new “Elder Scrolls” title is released every four years. “Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim” was released in 2011 and four years after, “Elder Scrolls: Online” was released in 2015. So it is possible that “Elder Scrolls VI” will be released in 2019.

Another reason the sixth installment of “Elder Scrolls” is not yet the priority for Bethesda is the recent release of “Fallout 4.” The developers are still giving their efforts in making downloadable contents (DLC), and one was recently launched, the “Fallout 4: Far Harbor.”

Another speculation for the next title of “Elder Scrolls” is that the working title may also be “The Elder Scrolls: Argonia” since the setting of the game may be in Argonia.

On the other hand, due to the excitement of the fan base of the franchise, there has been a lot of fan-made trailers for the next “Elder Scrolls” game. In effect, fans are getting more excited for E3 and they are also hopeful that there will be new details released for the upcoming E3.
