'Elder Scrolls Online' pre-order bonus gives new bonus treasure maps, pets and no barriers to alliances

The console edition for Elder Scroll Online: Tamriel Unlimited is now available for pre-order, prior to its June 9 release. While the usual pre-order bonus for a game features only additional contentthat would eventually be available for all in the long run, tooor sometimes a lower price than the regular retail tag, ZeniMax Online Studios and Bethesda Softworks took their pre-order bonus for the upcoming Elder Scrolls game to another level by offering a permanent game changing advantage!

Just like with the PC version release of the game, players who will place their order prior to the release date is set to get the Explorer’s Pack, according to a GameSpot report. The Explorer’s Pack is available upon pre-order for both digital and physical copies of the game. The pack contains three main features: set of bonus treasure maps that will lead you to more treasures and loots; a Scuttler pet named Warty, a vanity pet you can only get through the Explorer’s Pack; and most of all, the ability to have all races playable in any alliance you choose.

In the game, gamers will choose from the three alliancesDaggerfall Covenant, Aldmeri Dominion, and Ebonheart Pact. Based on the player’s choice, there will be a restriction on the races one will be allowed to use. But with the Explorer’s Pack, this barrier will not be a problem, giving players a permanent gaming advantage and wider possibilities in gameplay. What’s more, the report also said thatjust like its predecessor PC versionthe Explorer’s Pack will only be available as a pre-order bonus and will not be put for regular purchase later on.

Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited will be released for the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One on June 9, available both as a physical copy and for digital download.

In an earlier report, players were informed of a possible 15GB day one patch players must download before experiencing the game.
