'Elder Scrolls 6' release date news: No sign of the game expected in the next two years

The “Elder Scrolls 6” release date is still the subject of much rumors and speculations on the internet as developer Bethesda Softworks refuses to share more information about its production.

Nevertheless, the hype for “Elder Scrolls 6” does not seem to be dying anytime soon even though no official information has been released about it. Bethesda has not even announced that they are working on the title, but the gamers’ anticipation for the “Skyrim” sequel is growing by the day.

However, those who are expecting to see “Elder Scrolls 6” in upcoming gaming events will likely be disappointed. Pete Hines, Bethesda’s vice president for marketing, shared in an interview with GameStar that the developer has two new titles down the pipeline before they can get to the next installment to the hit franchise.

In the interview, he further revealed that they will focus on the title once they are done with these so-called big projects. By the looks of it, there will be no mention of the sixth title in Gamescom 2017 and 2018. He did not rule out 2019, but that does not mean it will definitely feature the said title by then.

Since there are no plans for the title yet, what it will bring to the gaming community is a hot subject among speculators. While any detail on the internet is just a rumor for now, players can trust it will be unique.

“If you look at our games, we do things that no other game does,” said Hines, adding, “What new feature can we add, what new things can we offer without sacrificing the things that make a game like ours, cool.”

It may also come with virtual reality support, but fans of the game will just have to wait and see if the sixth installment will indeed have that feature.
