Although this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo trade show is still more than three months away, some game enthusiasts are already checking out what may unfold in the highly anticipated event, with the focus seemingly tuned into Bethesda’s rumored lineup for 2016.
According to Neurogadget, it is possible that the game franchise “The Elder Scrolls” might make an appearance. What may have added to the assumption are the hearsays that the developers are said to be focusing on only one major franchise. Since “Fallout 4” has already been launched and currently rolling out, Bethesda is deemed to shift its development to the touted “The Elder Scrolls VI.”
However, even if it is unveiled, some suggest that the the promotional material to be released may just be the teaser. More information such as gameplay trailer and launch window may be released in next year’s E3. The timeline seems to coincide with previous speculation that the release date for the next installment in “The Elder Scrolls” franchise may take place in 2019.
Meanwhile, other fans believe that Bethesda’s upcoming press conference in the event will highlight the plans for more future downloadable content packs for “Fallout 4.” It is also possible that they may talk about potential sequels for “The Evil Within” and Machine Games’ “Wolfenstein.” It may also give attention to previously announced game “Dishonored 2” during last year’s conference.
Bethesda took to Twitter earlier this month to reveal to fans its participation in the annual convention. They shared a save the date poster and captioned it with, “Are you game? #BE3” Followers of their social media account inquired if there is any news on when they can get tickets, to which they were answered with, “Not yet.”
Moreover, other than the aforementioned titles, fans are hoping that more information regarding “Doom,” remastering of “Skyrim” for the PlayStation 4, and even “Fallout 5” will be made known.
E3 will take place in June in Los Angeles, California.
