Duggar family news: 'Jill and Jessa:Counting On' releases first promo; shows sisters hurt and devastated

After the Duggars’ 19 Kids and Counting was cancelled in the TLC in the wake of a scandal involving eldest son Josh’s molestation of young girls and marital infidelity, two of the Duggar sisters will be coming back to television to star in their own spinoff show “Jill and Jessa: Counting on.”

The show will focus on the now married Duggar daughters as they try to move on from the challenges that their family has faced in the previous year, as well as focus on the families they are building with their husbands Derick Dillard and Ben Seewald.

In the first promo, Jill and Jessa open up about being hurt and devastated but it was not clear if they were referring to brother Josh’s previous indiscretions or the cancellation of their family’s show.

“We were devastated. We couldn’t believe it. You have to wonder: How did this happen?” Jessa said in the clip

“You’re angry and hurt and all of those emotions all mixed together. I cried a lot of tears. I still do,” Jill said.

The show is expected to focus on more milestones in the sisters’ lives which may also involve other members of the family. Mainly, the show is expected to document the arrival of the latest addition to the family as Jessa prepares to give birth to her first baby on November 1, which also happens to be her and Ben’s anniversary.

Before she delivers the latest member of the Duggar and Seewald clan, however, the reality star was treated by her mother in law to some mommy to be pampering, which she shared on her Instagram account.

“My sweet mother-in-law treated me to a pumpkin spice drink from #MamaCarmens, and Sierra insisted that I get something cheery painted on my toes in prep for labor! Y’all are spoiling me!” she captioned her post showing her pink patterned toenails and events during the fun filled day.

The Jill and Jessa: Counting On specials are expected to premiere on TLC this December.
