After the several reports talking about Jill Duggar’s supposed pregnancy, her family has spoken out to address the news.
Reports stated that there might be another addition to the Duggars a family known for their already large size. It was said that Jill is expecting her second child with husband Derick Dillard. Fans were excited to hear the news as they are looking forward to seeing another baby from Jill and Derick, following the birth of their first child Israel.
However, the Duggar family finally shot down the rumors on their blog. They confirmed that Jill and Derick are not expecting their second child. Rather, the couple seems to be more interested in adoption after being influenced by their recent trip to Central America.
Jill and Derick went to Central America for a mission trip last year. They volunteered at a children’s home, which allowed them to get to know the kids there. Because of that, they seem eager to adopt kids from different countries.
In a previous episode of “Jill & Jessa: Counting On,” Jill mentioned that they were considering adoption. “Who knows? We came down to Central America as a family of three. We could go home as a family of four.”
With that, the rest of the Duggar family seemed elated to see their family grow. Last year, Michelle Duggar gave the Jill advice on how to keep a good family.
She said, “Be available, and not just available, but be joyfully available for him. Smile and be willing to say, ‘Yes, sweetie I am here for you,’ no matter what, even though you may be exhausted and big pregnant and you may not feel like he feels. ‘I’m still here for you and I’m going to meet that need because I know it’s a need for you.'”
Meanwhile, it is said that if the couple were really expecting, the family will definitely let fans know. In addition, fans can look forward to hearing more about their life in the upcoming season of their TV series “Jill & Jessa: Counting On.”
“Jill & Jessa: Counting On” returns to TLC this summer with season 2.
