Six months after Josh Duggar finished his rehab stay at a faith-based institution, the Duggar family posted a rare photo of him and his wife, Anna, to celebrate their ninth wedding anniversary.
The photo, which was shared on Facebook on Tuesday, Sept. 27, features the couple smiling as they stood in front of a brick wall. Josh is wearing a red, blue, and turquoise checked shirt and khaki-colored trousers, while Anna donned a pink blouse and a long denim skirt. The photo was captioned, “Happy Anniversary, Josh and Anna. We are so thankful for God’s redemptive love in your lives.”
Last year, Josh’s back-to-back scandals rocked the whole Duggar family as it was revealed that he molested five young girls two of them his sisters when he was just a teenager. Josh acknowledged that he made a mistake, and Anna said that she was aware of what the 28-year-old did before they got married. The first scandal made headlines in May 2015, and in August 2015, it was revealed that Josh had an Ashley Madison account. In a statement, Josh admitted to being addicted to pornography and cheating on his wife, and shortly after, he entered a faith-based rehabilitation program for six months.
Back in January, Anna revealed that she and Josh have taken steps to heal their relationship, saying that her visit to Josh was “an important step on a long difficult road.” The father-of-four completed his rehab stay in March 2016.
Since then, Josh has been keeping a low profile in their hometown of Arkansas and has not returned to social media. The former reality star was last seen at a family gathering for their friend, Sierra Jo Dominguez, and in a group photo published by People, Josh can be seen with son Marcus atop his shoulders while he smiled for the camera. It is expected that he won’t be returning to reality TV soon as reports claim that he will not make an appearance on the Duggar’s spinoff show, “Jill and Jessa: Counting On.”
