“Dragonball Xenoverse” has been a hit among gamers and fans of the classic animated series to the point that it sold approximately 2.5 million copies worldwide. Now, there will be an upcoming sequel for the franchise entitled “Dragonball Xenoverse 2.”
As stated in reports, some fans may be upset with the news that the release was only announced for Japan and it would be during the winter season in the country. Furthermore, it would only be released for the PlayStation 4 in Japan since it is the most played console there compared to Xbox One or PC.
There will be a Western release as well, but it is still yet to be known. Also, fans are hoping that it would be available for Xbox One and PC once the game is released worldwide.
According to CrossMap, fans can expect the game to be released in other countries after the game is released in Japan. When the first game was released it before, it had a pattern with the launching dates. It was first released in Japan on Feb. 5, 2015, then shortly after, the game came out in the United States as well on Feb. 24, 2015. The PC release was also in line with the UK release of the game which was on Feb. 27, 2015. With this kind of pattern with the release of “Dragonball Xenoverse,” it may be expected that may happen as well with “Dragonball Xenoverse 2.”
The first game focused on the story of the player’s main character trying to alter the events that have happened in the “Dragonball” universe. The second installment of the franchise may focus on this concept and theme as well. The only distinct factor for the upcoming game is that it is more supported by the latest consoles while the first game was prioritizing PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
“Dragonball Xenoverse 2” is expected to come out in Japan before the year ends.
