Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection of F will be released in America for a limited time, following a massive success of the film in Japan. An Australian release will follow afterwards.
Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection of F is set to hit North American theatre this summer, even if only for a limited time. FUNimation, who own the rights to Dragon Ball, will be releasing the movie this summer only in selected theaters for a limited time with only limited tickets available, as reports said.
The limited US screening will feature an English dub of “Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection of F”. The movie will be screened only from August 4 to August 14, but there are no advance tickets yet for sale, for there is no information yet as to where and which movie house will the movie be screened. However, fans and people who would want to get the first news about the upcoming limited screening can sign-up to the official Dragon Ball Z website.
Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection of Fis the 19<sup>th movie in the entire Dragon Ball franchise, and is the second movie with series creator Akira Toriyama’s personal supervision. The movie follows the events of the 2013 feature film Battle of Gods. Frieza, long dead, has been somehow revived by his minions, and is now seeking revenge on Goku and the whole team by getting stronger. The God of Destruction, Lord Beerus/Bills and Whis also return for the movie.
Deadline previously reportedDragon Ball Z: Resurrection of F to have the biggest opening box office record for 2015 in Japan, making Japan the only country where the record-breaking Furious 7 did not score a number one spot on box office. According to Anime News Network, in its opening weekend alone, Resurrection of F already surpassed its predecessor Battle of Gods in ticket sales. The film also surpassed in box office records other anime movies that opened in the same week in Japan, like Detective Conan: Sunflowers of Inferno.
Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection of F will also be released in Australia through madman Entertainment winter 2015.
