'Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2' release date: Bandai Namco starts accepting pre-orders

Bandai Namco Entertainment is slowly making up for lost time as the Japanese video game developer recently announced the exclusive availability of GameStop bonuses for its upcoming fighting role-playing video game, “Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2.” However, that’s not the only good news fans of the game series got because it was also recently announced that the game is now available for pre-order.

Bandai Namco announced through its official Facebook page that members of GameStop’s PowerUp Rewards program who decide to do a pre-order of the game will be provided with a rare goodie a Goku keychain that can’t be obtained anywhere else. This means that avid fans of the game who have been patiently waiting for it to be released could get the next best thing by doing a pre-order.

Meanwhile, Christian Times also noted that there also are other in-game freebies for customers who will avail of the pre-order via GameStop, and the most notable are Black Goku and the Tao Pai Pai Stick Vehicle. To recall, Black Goku is the bad guy version of “Dragon Ball’s” favorite hero, Goku. The character appeared in “Dragon Ball Super,” but his actual persona or identity has yet to be disclosed.

Going back to the pre-order bonuses, Attack of the Fanboy reminded those who want to pre-order that the character playable is Black Goku, but it is also possible to play another character, Future Trunks, also from “Dragon Ball Super,” once a player decides to order a special edition of the game. The same publication noted that both characters are actually last-minute additions to the game because the creators had to give in to fan clamor.

“Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2” is scheduled for a full-game release on Oct. 25 in North American territories and Oct. 28 in Europe. The game is playable for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
