It is quite well known now that Rachel McAdams will be part of the cast of another upcoming movie from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Dr. Strange. However, the identity of her character remains untold up to now. At the moment, no solid facts have been revealed but there are strong rumors surfacing about her character.

According to Latino Review, McAdams might play the role of Christine Palmer, one of the nurses who goes on a night shift in Night Nurse. Although it is unclear how her role will link to the role of Dr. Stephen Strange, played by Benedict Cumberbatch, it is possible that her surgical assistant stint in Night Nurse will converge with Dr. Strange’s world. However, this is still unconfirmed because the studio did not comment when the news portal tried to confirm their speculation.

Earlier, one of the rumors around the role of McAdams was Clea, the love interest of Dr. Strange. In the comic book story, she became the Sorcerer Supreme after learning skills from a hermit called Ancient One. However, this theory was put aside as having Clea in the film will lengthen the story, said Movie News Guide. One thing is for sure, though. The role of McAdams in the story will be huge, as Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios said in the same report, “She’s the audience’s eyes to a certain extent. She plays a very, very big part in the movie and represents a certain point of view of the worlds that we experience in that movie.”

Meanwhile, Coming Soon posted a video of ongoing shooting with Cumberbatch, along with film director Scott Derrickson. In the video, there is also an unknown person in a hood. It is very difficult to guess the nature of the character in the footage as it passes by very swiftly, thus it is unclear at the moment if this is McAdams or a different character.

Dr. Strange is set to hit the theatres on November 4 next year.
