The patch will also offer updates to expanded areas like The Royal Quarters and The Eternal Woods which will now be available to Adventure mode players.
Patch 2.4.0 will also introduce new features like Set Dungeons and Empowered Rifts which gamers will get access to upon completing a six piece set and completing the objectives. The Empowered Rifts on the other hand, gives gamers the opportunity to get a bonus roll upon completing a Greater Rift.
There are also Revamped Class Set, New Legendaries, Revised Buff User Interface, and More Stash Space as well as updates on Season Journey, Rebirth and Action Combat for the PC version.
Meanwhile, Battle.net has reported that the patch is now available for testing on the PTR.
In order to join, gamers should first have a Diablo 3 game license attached to their Battle.net account and create a PTR account. Gamers should keep in mind that their accounts should be of good standing. They should also download and install the Battle.net desktop app prior to creating the account.
Upon creating the account, gamers should log in and select “Diablo III” from the main menu on the left-hand side of the application.
There will be a drop down menu above the Play button and gamers need to select Diablo III from the drop down menu wherein they will be given the option to install and play the patch 2.4.0 PTR.
Unfortunately, this will not be available to all regions.
The site reminds gamers that their progress will not be credited to their live accounts.
Upon testing out the patch, gamers are encouraged to share their feedback on the Public Test Forums to discuss issues. For in game bugs, the PTR Bug Report forum is the best venue to address the patch’s problems to be addressed by the developers.
