The latest Inspiron 15 7000 series is making waves among tech reviewers and consumers alike, with some being impressed by its sleek design and excellent performance.
According to the official product site, among the features of the new laptop is 4K Ultra HD display option which works really well with the 15.6-inch display. The laptop is being marketed for its brilliant display that comes with True Color and high contrast ratio, which deliver the best output for photo or video editing, graphic design, and even watching movies.
The design is also considered as innovative. Aside from the forged aluminum materials, it also has diamond cut beveled edges. Considering the competitive market, Dell also made the laptop thinner and lighter than its predecessors.
The laptop runs on the latest 5th Gen Intel processor which improves its battery performance to last up to eight hours. It operates on Windows 8.1 OS and offers 16GB and 1TB hard drive versions.
It also offers something for gamers as it uses Optional AMD Radeon R7 M270 4GB DDR3 discrete graphics for responsive gaming and optimal video editing capacity.
The unit, which sells at $799, received positive feedback from Laptop Mag. While it was considered still a bit heavy for its size, reviewer Sheree Smith wrote, “The Dell Inspiron 15 7000 Series offers scintillating good looks with solid graphics performance and good battery life.”
However, there are also those who are less impressed by the 4K graphics that the unit has to offer, finding issues with the trackpad, lackluster power and graphics, and 4K display.
In his review of the top of the line version of the unit which cost roughly $1,500, Digital Trends’ Brad Bourque said, “While its specifications look great on paper, this Inspiron is marred by mediocre performance and an unfortunate as-tested price.”
