'Deadpool 2' release date, spoilers, cast news: Domino shortlist revealed

It looks like Domino is going to be in “Deadpool 2” after all. For months now, rumors have been saying the character might appear in the sequel, however, it was never confirmed.

Sources have informed Collider that 10 actresses vying for the part of the mutant with probability-altering powers. In other words, she’s incredibly lucky.

The actresses under consideration include Lizzy Caplan, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Sienna Miller, Sofia Boutella, Stephanie Sigman, Sylvia Hoeks, Mackenzie Davis, Ruby Rose, Eve Hewson, and Kelly Rohrbach. That’s quite a list. The creative team is going to have a hard time choosing because every single one is good. Mike Cecchini of Den of Geek thinks Winstead and Boutella certainly look the part, and he has a point.

A lot of reports have been linking Davis to Domino the past few months and it looks like she really is on the shortlist. The inclusion of Domino in “Deadpool 2” makes sense because her partner, Cable, is supposed to appear as well.

People already know that Cable is going to be in the sequel thanks to the post-credits announcement Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) made in the first film. Now the question is: Who is going to portray him? Have they already found the right guy for the job?

Kyle Chandler’s name has come up a lot in the past few months, but the rumor was never verified. An article on The A.V. Club says actor Jon Hamm is perfect for the role. Well, this Photoshopped image of Hamm as Cable certainly looks good.

The man who posted that image happens to be Robert Liefeld, the man who created Cable. It looks like he’s a fan of Hamm.

“Deadpool 2” will premiere on Jan. 12, 2018, so fans will have to wait awhile before they can see the Merc with a Mouth back in action.
