'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' season 2 renewed; sneak peek features Jonah Hex, Talia Al Ghul

Fans of The CW’s adapted series “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” may be delighted to find out that their favorite superhero series has been officially renewed for season 2, featuring the same cast members with possible addition of a major character from the comics.

According to Screen Crush, the producers confirmed that they will not change the ensemble composed of Brandon Routh, Caity Lotz, Arthur Darvill, Victor Garber, Wentworth Miller, Franz Drameh, Ciara Renee, and possibly even Dominic Purcell.

If the freshman run ends with Vandal Savage’s defeat, there are rumors that a beloved hero from a DC canon may make an appearance with a mysterious agenda serving as the launching point for next season. However, it remains to be seen if this comes to fruition.

Some of the cast members attended the recent WonderCon in Los Angeles alongside showrunner Marc Guggeinheim. In the event, they unveiled a sneak peek for the remaining installments before the May 19 season finale showcasing scenes of their trip to the Old West and Jonah Hex (Johnathon Schaech) coming to the series.

It also revealed guest appearances from Ra’s al Ghul and Felicity, a character played by “Firefly’s” veteran Jewel Staite, Rip Hunter’s future, a young Sara, Quentin Lance and Talia al Ghul, Atom seemingly getting stronger, and what could be the return of Carter Hall, among others.

“We didn’t really hold back in that sizzle reel,” Guggenheim said to the audience. While Routh teased that his favorite time period to visit so far is “Wild West. Just showing up and putting on the western gear, my duster and my hat, was pretty fun.”

When asked who he wants to see join “Legends,” Routh mentioned Vixen and John Constantine, “I think it’d be awesome if Killer Frost came back and was on our show. A rogue woman character,” he elaborated.

New episode of “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” titled “Left Behind” airs on Thursday, March 31 at 8 P.M. EST.
