The show has not yet premiered, but the upcoming “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” may already be eyeing a new series regular for the second season of the show. It’s someone who is already well-loved and a familiar face in the current DC Comics TV universe of The CW. According to rumors, Matt Ryan’s John Constantine may very well be added to the show’s season 2.
In an alleged insider information shared to Bleeding Cool, the people behind “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” is currently planning to go on with the show in a way that they will be introducing new team members for each mission that will be taken each season. With that, it is said the Matt Ryan’s John Constantine is being considered to be part of the team of season two heroes, which will be released around 2017.
Additionally, Steven R McQueen, who played Jeremy Gilbert in “The Vampire Diaries,” is also said to be in talks for the role of a new new superhero in the second season.
Matt Ryan’s John Constantine first made his appearance on his own show “Constantine” on the NBC, which was cancelled after only one season. After that, the character was brought to The CW to make an appearance on the fourth season of “Arrow.” In “Arrow,” John Constantine is an old friend of Stephen Amell’s Oliver Queen/The Green Arrow, and he came to Star City to help with the restoration of the soul of the resurrected Sara Lance.
“DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” stars Brandon Routh, Caity Lotz, Wentworth Miller, Dominic Purcell, Victor Garber, Franz Drameh, Ciara Renee, Arthur Darvill, and Casper Crump. The series will premiere on Jan. 21, 2016 on The CW.
