Things are heating up in the penultimate episode of “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” with Chronos returning and the heroes attacking the immortal Vandal Savage after playing defense for a long time.
Titled “Destiny,” the synopsis for episode 15 reveals that being the victim of the Time Masters will leave Rip (Arthur Darvill) and Rory, also known as Heatwave (Dominic Purcell), incredibly disturbed for very different reasons.
In an interview with TV Line, showrunner Phil Klimmer teased that there will be “another shoe to drop” in the so-called contentious relationship, “Maybe the Time Masters aren’t as unsullied as they made themselves out to be in the pilot,” he stated. When it comes to Vandal Savage, the team will target him while he is in the year 2166, “All that’s really left for them to do is attack him at the height of his power,” he added.
Moreover, IGN shared the first look on Chronos – Rory’s villainous time hunter personality – who is said to be making a comeback with a vengeance. He is featured alongside Time Master Druce (Martin Donovan) as Rip faces his sentence.
Meanwhile, Sara (Caity Lotz) will take over the Waverider and Kendra (Ciara Renee) will be reunited with Carter (guest star Falk Henstchel). It remains to be seen if Snart (Wentworth Miller) will decide if he can be a hero after all.
In a sneak peek, Rip says “It’s about time he sees that our destiny’s back” while Captain Cold states, “This is madness” after he was shown kissing White Canary. The clip ends with the latter advising them to “strap in” as the ship travels to their desired location.
Season 1, episode 15 of “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” is slated to air on Thursday, May 12 at 8 P.M. EST, to be followed by the finale on May 19.
