The upcoming new superhero series “DC’ Legends of Tomorrow” on The CW will have an epic crossover as an introduction for some characters.
Executive producers of “Arrow” and “The Flash” revealed that to promote the new TV adaptation, Falk Hentschel’s Hawkman and Ciara Rene’s Hawkgirl will make their debut in the two-part crossover that will see the star-studded cast of both series teaming up against an immortal threat, Vandal Savage, to be played by Vander Camp. The first part will be titled “Legends of Today,” and it will be followed by “Legends of Yesterday.”
The sneak peek showed Kendra Saunders, who was first seen as a barista at CC Jitters whom Carlos Valdes’ Cisco has a crush on, surprised that she has an alter ego. Hawkman told her that they have are ancient royalty and soulmates who had been resurrected 206 times, while giving light on how dangerous Savage is.
“He’s gone through 4,000 years of loving her and getting her to love him back. She doesn’t know about it yet, though, so it’s a fun dynamic of him being like, ‘You’ll love me.’ Underneath it, too, he’s terrified always of losing her. Imagine you’ve seen everybody that you love die. It’s pretty lonely. There’s that one person that’s always constant,” Hentschel hinted about his character.
Although the special episode will be star-studded, some members of “Legends’s” cast will be missing in action such as Ray Palmer, Sara Lance, and Captain Cold to be portrayed by Brandon Routh, Caity Lotz and Wentworth Miller, respectively as they are reserved for the premiere of their own series alongside Arthur Darvill’s Rip Hunter.
The “Arrow-The Flash” event kicks off on Dec. 1 at 8 P.M. ET and continues on Dec. 2 at the same time. Meanwhile, “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” is slated to air on Jan. 21, 2016.
