The much-awaited new season of ABC’s hit reality TV series “Dancing with the Stars” will be premiering soon in September and the network has announced that fans of the dance competition show will finally meet the contestants for season 23 by the end of August. With that, a number of popular personalities have been rumored to be participating in the newest season of the reality series.

ABC’s popular talk show, “Good Morning America,” recently announced on their official Twitter account that the full cast of “Dancing with the Stars” season 23 would be announced on their show on August 30, which was why they were inviting fans of the show to tune into the live reveal of this season’s lineup.

Oddly though, the said tweet from the morning show was taken down after a few hours. However, the news of the upcoming announcement lived on, as popular fan site Pure DWTS managed to capture the tweet and reported on it, which led to more fans learning about the highly anticipated cast announcement.

As for the set of stars joining the upcoming season, it has been rumored that American Olympian Michael Phelps would be added to the cast. As per the latest reports, the multi-medalist swimmer was once approached to join the show but allegedly declined due to unknown reasons. It’s possible that he has now agreed to join season 23.

Other rumored cast members include the most recent “Bachelorette,” JoJo Fletcher; “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Teresa Giudice; and former “The Bachelor New Zealand” star, Jordan Mauger

The official poster for the show’s new season was previously revealed via People magazine. The poster features professional dancers Sharna Burgess and Artem Chigvintsev, both of whom will be participating in the new season as well.

Season 23 of “Dancing with the Stars” will premiere on Monday, Sept. 12 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
