The cast members of “Dancing with the Stars” season 22 are starting to come in, as the show nears its premiere date.
Earlier circulating as a rumor, winner of “America’s Top Model” Nyle DiMarco will be joining season 22 of the show, reported Entertainment Online. He will be the second deaf contestant who will join “Dancing with the Stars,” following Merlee Martin in 2008. Aside from him, “Real Housewives of Atlanta” Kim Fields will also join the reality television show.
Meanwhile, there are rumors that mixed martial arts fighter Paige VanZant will be pairing with pro-dancer Mark Ballas in an attempt to bag the Mirror Ball award. The speculations sparked when VanZant posted on her Twitter account something about an event in Los Angeles where she will participate in “training and photo shoots,” said Christian Today.
Aside from them, earlier rumors on the casts include Robert Irwin, season 21 winner Bindi Irwin’s younger brother, Ben Higgins from “The Bachelor” season 20, Italia Ricci from “Chasing Life,” and Rashad Jennings from NFL New York Giants due to some hints or interests expressed by or for them earlier. However, it is still unconfirmed whether they will join season 22 of “Dancing with the Stars.”
The complete list of the casts is expected to be announced on Mar. 8.
As for the judges, Len Goodman has confirmed his return to the show through his Twitter account a few months ago, along with other judges Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tolioni. On the other hand, Julianne Hough will not return in season 22 due to other “filming commitments,” revealed People.
She told the same report exclusively, “I will miss being on the panel for Season 22, but have a lot of exciting stuff coming that I look forward to sharing. The pro dancers, producers and crew at ‘DWTS’ will always be my family.”
“Dancing with the Stars” season 22 will premiere on Mar. 21.
