In less than two months, contestants will once again be back on the dance floor of “Dancing with the Stars” season 22.
Although the show has been quiet about the possible participants for the upcoming season, there are already a few names popping up as possible cast members.
Last season, Bindi Irwin wowed the crowd and eventually became one of the youngest winners of the show. She was also the one who got the most number of perfect scores from the judges. There are rumors that his younger brother, Bob, may join season 22 of the show, after watching his sister in season 21.
According to Inquisitr, the younger Irwin admitted that he is interested in doing the show and there was already communication between him and the studio. However, the youngest contestant in “Dancing with the Stars” was Willow Shields, aged 14 at that time. The report pointed out that it may still be too early for 11-year-old Bob to participate.
Meanwhile, Italia Ricci from “Chasing Life” may also join season 22 of “Dancing with the Stars.” A month and a half ago, she revealed that she was being convinced by Alexa PenaVega, one of the stars from season 21, to join the show on her Twitter account. She added how Carlos PenaVega, another contestant, and Canadian actor Shaun Sipos are “not helping.” Most of the fans took her post positively, encouraging her and expressing their excitement to see her competing on screen.
Aside from Irwin and Ricci, current bachelor Ben Higgins from “The Bachelor” and Rashad Jennings from NFL’s New York Giants may also be part of the cast in the upcoming season. Higgins expressed that he is open to do it after his current show, while Jennings stated how much he wants to prove himself in the dance floor.
“Dancing with the Stars” season 22 will premiere on the small screen on March 21.
