Next installment in Lifetime’s hit dancing competition show, “Dance Moms” has yet to hit the small screens but spoilers are starting to trickle down as to what viewers can expect for the premiere episode.
Reports claim that dancers from Abby Lee Dance Company landed the first spot for the teen division of Sheer Talent Special Edition Competition held in California on October 10. They performed “The Girl in the Plastic Bubble” for the contest.
Considered to be a special feat for the members of ALDC, garnering the top place seems to be a comeback for the group after they failed to bring home the title during the fifth season. It was reportedly a clean sweep as they dominated the event because of their specialty group performance, International Business Times shares.
Other winners in specific categories are JoJo Siwa receiving platinum for her preteen Jazz solo of “Own It” and fifth season guest star Brynn Rumfallo taking the pre-lyrical division and placing first overall for the rendition of her routine to the tune of “The Coronation.” The crew also beat Abby’s longtime rival the Broadway Dance Academy of Jeanette Cota who positioned second with their contemporary performance called “The Waiting Room.” Some reports claimed that their presentation bears some resemblance to ALDC last season.
The report added that noticeably missing from the dancers was star Maddie Ziegler who was listed but reportedly did not make an appearance due to other commitments in the production of “The Book of Henry” directed by Colin Trevorrow, which will also feature actress Naomi Watts.
No official release date has been announced regarding season six but it looks like the production is underway and may be done for the predicted airing in January, 2016 with speculations suggesting that Kendall Vertes and Kalani Hilliker will return.
