'Dance Moms' season 6 news: fans think issues might lead to next season being the last; ADLC dancers win top honors at Arizona competition

Could Dance Mom season 6 be the show’s last season?

A Realty Today report suggested that fans are expecting the show to be cancelled because of various issues plaguing the cast and Abby Lee Miller herself.

It can be recalled that prior the show’s renewal for a sixth season, it was unsure if Abby Lee Miller will be on board because of some financial issues with Lifetime. For a while, it was also unsure if Maddie Ziegler, the show’s breakout star, will return to the reality show because of her busy schedule and her involvement in the movie “The Book of Henry.” However, it was confirmed that both will be part of season 6.

Based on the report, issues with the growing competition among the girls, their growing popularity, as well as Abby’s decision to create a Mini Elite Competition Team that will reportedly be trained by Maddie and Mackenzie Ziegler, Kendall Vertes, Kalani Hilliker, JoJo Siwa, and Nia Frazer are part of the show’s conflict especially since the new girls will be barred from accepting TV shows, commercials, and music videos unlike their predecessors.

Meanwhile, Kendall, Kalani, JoJo, Nia, Brynn Rumfallo, and Mackenzie were all present at the Sheer Talent competition in Arizona, reported Design and Trend.

The ALDC ranked first overall for their performance of “Well Oiled Machine,” for the contemporary category. On the other hand, Brynn’s lyrical dance routine earned her first place in the pre teen division.

Kalani, likewise, ranked first in the teen division for her contemporary dance “Wild Thing.”

Kendall, placed second in the pre teen division for her Jazz performance of “Curiosity.”

The Mini Elite Competition Team has not join the competition yet, but it is expected to air as part of season 6.

“Dance Moms” will return for its sixth season on Jan. 5 in Lifetime.
