'Criminal Minds' season 11b news: Reid plays hero in comeback episode; other BAU members delve deeper in a serial murder mystery

American police procedural drama “Criminal Minds” will be back in less than a week, and fans of the show have been clamoring for new information on what the show will bring once it goes back in the air. The long running CBS show’s last episode titled “Future Perfect” was aired on Dec. 9, and a month of hiatus is bringing  a lot of speculations on how the hunt of “The Dirty Dozen” will go.

All season long, the members of the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) have been trying to catch the group of hit men. Originally introduced a few seasons back, the underground unit is still on the loose, chalk it up to the lack of information about them which makes it more difficult for the team to profile their targets.

As previously reported, Dr. Spencer Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler) will be taking the center stage in episode 11, titled “Entropy.” The genius doctor will be coming back to the team after his visit to his mother in Las Vegas. Reid will be scoring a date with Cat Adams (guest star Aubrey Plaza) but hell will break loose as Adams suddenly pulls a trigger on his face effectively putting Reid and other bystanders in danger. In a recently released trailer, more details are given as a bomb is seen planted in the restaurant making every minute count. Reid then will be forced to play mind games with Adams in order to prevent any casualties.

On the other hand, the remaining members of the BAU unit will tackle a case where the perpetrator abandons dead bodies around Boston. The lead that the team will have to follow is that all victims used the same ride share service prior to them being killed.

“Criminal Minds” season 11 will continue with brand new episodes on Jan. 13 on CBS.
