Special Agent Aaron Hotchner (Thomas Gibson) will be in trouble in the upcoming episode of “Criminal Minds” season 11.
Titled “The Storm,” Hotch will be in big trouble in the season finale of the American police procedural crime and drama television series. He will be arrested by the SWAT because of some allegations, while his teammates from the Behavioral Unit Analysis will try their best to rescue him as they believe that there is someone out there playing them.
The official synopsis posted on TV.com reads, “Season 11 ends with Hotch being apprehended by a SWAT team for suspicion of conspiracy. The BAU members scramble to prove his innocence and suspect a larger plot is on the horizon.”
The title and the incident may have already been forewarned by the convicted serial killer Antonina Slade (Frances Fisher) in the previous episode of the show, titled “The Devil’s Backbone.” Last week, the team needed to reconnect with Slade to question her about the case of two missing boys. The serial killer made several blood curling comments and statements, but the most disturbing of it all was her warning, “There is a storm coming.”
The statement, along with the events that will be coming for Hotch, may imply that she is “orchestrating the entire thing from behind bars,” as what Dr. Tara Lewis (Aisha Tyler) believed and mentioned in episode 21. Is Slade the bigger villain behind all of these? What could be her plans?
The finale of “Criminal Minds” season 11 will air on May 4 at 9 P.M.EST on CBS.
As of writing, the network has not officially given their word regarding the fate of the show. It has not been announced if “Criminal Minds” will continue with season 12 or not.
