The special two-hour fall finale of NBC’s “Chicago P. D.” will feature drama involving the entire police department.
After finishing the case involving Olinsky (Elias Koteas) who was accused of murder, the first hour of the concluding installment begins with the death of the only eyewitness in a timely case against a suspected serial rapist. Titled “300,000 likes,” episode 7 will have Voight (Jason Beghe) calling the team to take a look at the homicide.
It turns out that the witness was the only one who had information on the rape and murder case against an extremely young suspect, Oliver Tuxhorn (Gus Halper). The Intelligence Unit will look into his family and their finances as they try to determine if someone was paid to take out the victim.
Elsewhere, Stone (Philip Winchester) offers Antonio (Jon Seda) a job as the lead investigator for the state attorney’s office. His sister, Gabby from “Chicago Fire,” will drop by to talk about the job offer. Meanwhile, Burgess (Marina Squerciati) and Sorensen (Kevin Kane) accidentally capture a video of a bizarre exchange with a man that they pull over.
In the next hour, episode 8 dubbed “A Shot Heard Round the World” sees a highly trained killer waging war on the entire task force.
When a young officer is suddenly shot dead in the lobby of an apartment building, Intelligence looks to the latest known offenders who have threatened the police. However, when a second officer also drops dead, the team realizes that they might be dealing with a person who is highly trained and knowledgeable.
Voight works to keep the case contained as they deal with the state’s ever-present war against the police. Meanwhile, Lindsay (Sophia Bush) confronts Antonio about his new position.
Season 4’s fall finale is slated to air on Wednesday, Nov. 16 from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. EST.
