“Castle” season 8 will see the return of Kate, as a New York Police recruit officer is killed.
In the previous episode of the show, Rick (Nathan Fillion), Alexis (Molly Quinn), and Hayley (Toks Olagundoye) went to Los Angeles and were challenged by The Greatest Detective Society to look into the case of a notorious killer called “The Phantom.” Kate (Stana Katic) was missing in action, but in episode 15 of the show, Kate will return to the scene.
Titled “Fidelis Ad Mortem,” which, when translated from Latin refers to “faithful till death,” the upcoming episode may also pose some challenges in the relationship of Kate and Rick.
The official synopsis posted on Carter Matt narrated, “When a recruit officer at the NYPD Academy is killed, Beckett and the team go back to their old training ground to investigate. Meanwhile, Castle must reckon with a decision with profound consequences for him and Beckett.”
There are rumors that the issue that Rick and Kate have to face will have something to do with the Loksat. In the promotional trailer of the upcoming episode, Kate tells Rick, “I can’t do this anymore.”
Meanwhile, in the exclusive sneak peek from TVLine, it revealed Kate offering some tips to a young police academy cadet. The clip started off with the young lady practicing her moves with a mannequin, before Kate saw her. The NYPD detective first praised the trainee, but pointed out the challenges of a non-moving opponent. The trainee was resistant at first, but after Kate showed her some techniques, the former was more open in receiving some instruction. Toward the end of the clip, it showed the cadet learning the move and even doing it to Kate. It seemed that Kate was able to successfully teach the technique, as she was thrown by the cadet with the same move.
“Castle” season 8 will air episode 15 on Mar. 21 at 10 P.M. EST on ABC.
