'Captain America: Civil War' trailer views breaks record set by 'Avengers: Age of Ultron'

Released in 2014, “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” was deemed as one of the best films from Marvel. But the trailer of the next installament in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, “Captain America: Civil War,” took Marvel fandom by storm as it proves the movie could be hailed as the best film from the studio by far.

Brother directors Joe and Anthony Russo direct this latest film in light of the success of the second “Captain America” movie, which they also directed. The official trailer released last week garnered 61 million global views in the first 24 hours, besting the “Avengers: Age of Ultron’s” 34 million, according to Marvel. It shows the continuation of “Captain America: The Winter Soldier.”

The trailer shows James “Bucky” Barnes (Sebastian Stan) having regained his memory after being brainwashed to become the Winter Soldier, but the federal unit of the government is set in arresting him for the damages that he had done.

Steve Rogers aka Captain America (Chris Evans), remembering and honoring his friendship with Bucky back in their camp as young soldiers in training in the 1940s, takes all means to protect and hide Bucky from the authorities. This ignites the clash between Captain America and Tony Stark aka Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), who stand by the government’s decision to arrest Bucky alive.

The film’s trailer sparked excitement among the viewers at it shows the 2-on-1 fight between Captain America and Bucky against Iron Man. It can be remembered that Iron Man and the Cap have been involved in numerous word fights in the past because of their different ideologies.

Also, Captain America is painted on a different light in this movie, quite unlike the law-abiding and strict superhero he was in previous films.

“Captain America: Civil War,” which also stars Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow and Anthony Mackie as Falcon, will be shown on May 6, 2016 in theaters worldwide.
