'Captain America: Civil War' news: Hasbro unveils first wave of action figures; more superheroes rumored to die in the film

As the theatrical release date of the highly anticipated superhero face-off “Captain America: Civil War” approaches, Hasbro unveiled the first wave of action figures to the delight of moviegoers and comic book fans alike.

According to IGN, the toy manufacturer will launch the first Titan scale figure of Black Widow in the Marvel’s Avengers Titan Hero Series 12-Inch Figure Assortment line. They will also have a line of featuring 3.75-inch and 6-inch Legends Series figures and a 2.5-inch Miniverse two-pack series of action figures.

Among the included heroes in Marvel’s Captain America Civil War 3.75 Legend Series are Captain America with a motorcycle and Falcon with his Flight Tech and Redwing. There will also be Black Panther, Captain America, and Iron Man for the 6-inch ones.

Meanwhile, the 2.5-inch Miniverse has the combinations of Crossbones and Captain America, Falcon and War Machine, Hawkeye and Black Panther, Iron Man and Black Widow, and Winter Solider and Vision. It is expected that all figures will become available before the movie hits the big screen.

On a separate note, when it comes to spoilers of the narrative for the film, it seems like there will be more than one death scene featuring the demise of at least three Avengers.

According to YouTube video blog “That Hashtag Show,” there are rumors circling the Internet that aside from comic book readers already anticipating that Cap may end up dead, rumors that aside from funeral scenes filmed for Peggy Carter, deaths of War Machine, Falcon, and Scarlet Witch may have been shot as well.

However, it is also possible that these are only used to misdirect viewers and longtime fans as more information regarding the plot are expected to trickle in the upcoming months.

“Captain America: Civil War” is expected to premiere on May 6, 2016.
