'Captain America: Civil War' updates: 'Guardians of the Galaxy' director James Gunn calls third 'Captain America' film 'one of the best Marvel movies ever'

According to “Guardians of the Galaxy” writer and director James Gunn, the upcoming American superhero film featuring Marvel Comics’ Captain America with the Avengers is one of the best of its kind.

In a recent video Question & Answer on Facebook, Gunn declared, “I saw Civil War and I think it’s incredible. It’s one of the best Marvel movies ever, and I can’t believe what a wonderful job [directors Joe and Anthony Russo] did. And the cast. Oh my God, they’re so good. So it’s an amazing film and people are going to be really excited to see that come summertime.”

It was after Gunn had the privilege to watch the film before its release date that he expressed his amazement for the sequel to 2011’s “Captain America: The First Avenger” and 2014’s “Captain America: The Winter Soldier.”

In this apparent plot-twist of heroes typically fighting side-by-side, The Avengers will be torn between Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey, Jr.) and Steve Rogers/Captain America (Chris Evans). Rogers, who believes that regulation can only result in destruction, will be at odds with Stark, who oversees the rules that are to be strictly enforced by the government. These two powerful friends will face a test of loyalty that will result to an extensive conflict between the other superheroes. They will find themselves against each other that will result to civil war. And these two factions will have save the world from a new villain.

Commencing just a few months away, “Captain America: Civil War” will give Marvel fans the weight of choosing between two all-time superhero favorites. In this test of friendship and power, one can only see what peaceful conclusion is plausible when the film charges to theaters on May 6.

For the meantime, a behind-the-scenes footage from Disney Channel will surely get both Captain America and Iron Man fans off their feet.
