Captain America: Civil War cast, plot news: Hawkeye looks awesome as he shows off Captain America Civil War logo in social media posts


The logo for Captain America: Civil War was recently made public by an Instagram post by Hawkeye himself, Jeremy Renner.

This came as behind the scenes action is posted on social media featuring the star studded cast of Marvel heroes, reported

In one post, Paul Rudd (Ant Man) is shown having a conversation with Anthony Mackie (Falcon.). Another post showed Robert Downey Jr. in civilian attire while another shot showed Chris Evans in his Captain America costume, cleaning up on set and handing out drinks to the crew.

In a related report, Frank Grillo (The Purge 2) recently wrapped up his shoot for his scenes in the movie where he plays Crossbones, one of Captain America’s strongest arch nemesis.

According to ScreenCrush, Captain America: Civil War is loosely based on the Marvel Civil War series penned and illustrated by Mark Millar and Steve McNiven.

It will take place after the events of Avengers: The Age of Ultron wherein the new set of Avengers will have to deal with an international incident that leaves Captain America and Iron Man butting heads while trying to deal with the new status quo involving superheroes and holding them accountable for their actions.

The rivalry between Captain America and Iron Man over the leadership of the Avengers has been a key conflict in the series since the beginning of the franchise and fans are expecting a major blow up between the two characters in Civil War.

Also joining the cast are Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, Paul Bettany as The Vision, Don Cheadle as Jim Rhodes/War Machine, Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa/Black Panther, Emily Van Camp as Agent 13 and Martin Freeman as Everett Ross. On the villain side, joing Frank Grillo’s Crossbones are William Hurt as General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, Daniel Bruhl as Baron Zemo. 

The movie is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo (Captain America: The Winter Soldier), who will also take over the two part conclusion of the Avengers saga entitled Avengers: Infinity War with have 2018 and 2019 target releases.

Meanwhile, Captain America Civil War will be released in theaters on May 2016.
