'Call of Duty: Black Ops 3' DLC updates: April and May release date; new maps revealed; hotfix to turn off double weapon XP

Considered one of the most popular video games available in the market today is “Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.” Gotta Be Mobile reported that the latest “Black Ops III” DLC will be released in April on PS4 and in May on Xbox One.

The same report added that more downloadable packs for the game will be released in the following months. As for “Awakening,” it will showcase a different zombie encounter and new weapons. However, the new weapons will require a Season Pass for automatic access.

Moreover, the various maps for “Black Ops III” DLC 2 have also been leaked. A certain Ryan posted on his Twitter account a photo showing the maps labelled Junction, Hangar, Rooftop, Breakout, and Zombies Die Insel. He captioned it with, “New DLC 2? Not confirmed but I trust my sources.”

Design and Trend reported that “Call of Duty: Black Ops III” game developers have released a new hotfix. It was speculated that this new hotfix will cause a significant change in the game. However, David Vonderhaar, studio design director at Treyarch, posted on his Twitter account an explanation for this hotfix feature. He tweeted, “52.5.21.7.0. Turns off double weapon XP.”

“Call of Duty: Black Ops III” DLC 1: “Awakening” is now available on PS4, Xbox One and PC. “Awakening” is the first installment from the four planned DLC map packs. It features four multiplayer maps: Skyjacked, Rise Splash, and Gauntlet and the next chapter in the “Black Ops III” zombie saga, Der Eisendrache.
