The fourth and final downloadable content (DLC) pack for “Call of Duty: Black Ops 3” was unveiled at the Call of Duty: Experience event last week. The final DLC called “Salvation” is slated to bring a brand-new experience to the game as players will get to explore four new maps which include a Wild West town, a decrepit castle, an oversized picnic table, and a high-tech facility.
Here is the official description of the four maps in “Salvation:”
Micro: In this map, the fight takes place in a scaled down war zone that takes place on a well-stocked family picnic table. Players get to navigate this bite-size battlefield for a larger-than-life experience.
Citadel: Once home to a powerful and impressive medieval army, this ancient castle now sits broken and abandoned. Tight corners encourage close-quarter engagements, while the moat and drawbridge allow for unique player movement opportunities in the mid-sized map.
Outlaw: Players get to have a showdown Wild West-style in this unique map. A western reimagining of the fan favorite map, Standoff from “Call of Duty: Black Ops 2,” this medium-sized map brings classic engagements, flanking routes and strategic positions for both long and medium-ranged combat.
Rupture: The “Call of Duty: World at War” classic map, Outskirts, is re-imagined as a high-tech facility, designed by a futuristic society which aims to repair the Earth’s atmosphere.
Apart from these new maps, the DLC will also see the end of the “Black Ops Zombies” storyline. The content features Richtofen, Dempsey, Takeo and Nikolai as their journey comes to its conclusion and they face off against Doctor Monty in the house. As the heroes are confronted by an ancient evil, they must fight against the ravenous zombie horde one last time to save their souls.
“Call of Duty: Black Ops 3’s” new content, “Salvation,” will be released on PlayStation 4 on Sept. 6. The DLC will come to Xbox One and PC at a later date.
