British Royal Family news: New snaps of the Cambridges' recent family vacation draw mixed opinions

Last week, new official family photos of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge together with their children while on a French skiing vacation were released by the palace.

Nine snaps were published by various media websites which showed the young royal family in the slopes of an undisclosed private vacation house in France. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, William and Kate, their two children, 2-year-old Prince George and 10-month-old Princess Charlotte were clad in parkas and bonnets as they smiled for the camera. In the other photos, the Duke and Duchess were seen playfully tossing snow at each other.

“Pregnant in Heels” star Rosie Pope is almost like everyone who fell more in love with the future King and Queen’s growing family. In an interview with People magazine, she revealed that while she and her family reside in New York, she is such a huge fan of the Royal Family.

“I think they’re a dream! Everything else is real like you find out about celebrities, what they really are like, what they’re really doing or things that they do wrong but the royal family is kept perfect,” the British-American entrepreneur said.

Unfortunately, not everyone was a fan of the recent shots, especially with how it was distributed. New reports suggest that media outlets are not happy that Prince William seemed to be slacking on his royal duties and was further secluding himself from the media. It was cited that Prince William only attended 122 official engagements compared to the Queen’s 341 in the last month.

It is not a secret that over the years, William has more of a private take on aristocracy compared to his brother Harry. It can arguably be rooted towards the media’s role in the sudden death of his mother, Princess Diana, in 1997.
