Boruto Naruto movie news: October 10 release date for the US; 2 new villains unveiled; series creator Masashi Kishimoto will stop by NY Comic Con


Boruto Naruto fans in the US need not fret as the film finally announced the US release date for October 10, 2015, a significant day for the franchise as it is also Naruto’s birthday.

The film, which has been selling tickets to the premiere as early as June 27, 2015, will be released in Japan on August 7, 2015, Movie News Guide reported.

According to the article, the film will revolve around Naruto’s son Boruto, a student ninja under Sasuke Uchicha. Being a young man, Boruto will want to prove himself and be just as good as his father or even surpass his reputation.

Based on rumors, Boruto may acquire the Lightning Blade skill from Sasuke, among other tricks he could learn. It is also speculated that Sasuke’s daughter Sarada Uchihaha could be his love interest, but it is yet unconfirmed as she may also be developed as his rival.

According to VCPost, there are many familiar characters and new entries who will appear in the movie including Sakura, Sai, Rocklee, Hinata, Konohamaru, Shikamaru, Kurotsuchi, Tsuchikage, Chojuro, Mizukage, Darui Raikage, and Gaara. The cast also includes Mitsuki, the third member of Boruto and Sarada’s team, Sai and Ino’s son, Inojin Yamanaka, Shikamaru and Temari’s son, Shikadai Nara, and Boruto’s sister, Himawari Uzumaki.

There are also two new villains who are expected to bring trouble. The duo was introduced in Shonen Jump Issue 33.

The villains, named Momoshiki, and Kinoshiki, who both hail from the Otsutsuki Clanare, are reportedly set to steal Kurama from Naruto.

In related news, Masashi Kishimoto, the series creator of Naruto will be gracing the New York Comic Con on October 8-11, where he may talk about the movie, which he directed and wrote.
